PLAYER COMMITMENT POLICY

Overview

Piedmont Soccer Academy (PSA) is committed to providing a cohesive, dedicated environment where our players can develop their skills and foster a strong team dynamic. To maintain this standard, we have established a policy regarding player participation in other soccer clubs during the season.

Roster and Commitment

  1. Player Roster Status
  2. A player is considered rostered with Piedmont Soccer Academy from the moment they accept their position and pay their deposit for the season.
  3. Once rostered, players are expected to commit fully to Piedmont Soccer Academy for the entire season.

  4. Exclusive Play Requirement
  5. Players rostered with PSA may only play for Piedmont Soccer Academy during any given season.
  6. Participation in any other soccer club or team, regardless of the league or location, is not permitted without prior approval from the PSA Board.

Transfer Requests

  1. Transfer Request Procedure
  2. Any player wishing to request a transfer to a different club, including clubs outside of the Georgia Soccer League, must submit a written request to the PSA Board.
  3. This request must be made before the commencement of training for the current season.
  4. The full remaining balance of the player's tuition for the season will become due in full upon transfer request.

Unauthorized Play

  1. Consequences of Unauthorized Play
  2. If a player is found to be participating with another soccer team or club without prior approval from the PSA Board, they will be considered to be in an unauthorized status.
  3. Players found in unauthorized status will be removed from Piedmont Soccer Academy immediately.
  4. The full remaining balance of the player's tuition for the season will become due in full upon their removal from the club.

Enforcement and Compliance

  1. Policy Enforcement
  2. The PSA Board is responsible for enforcing this policy and ensuring compliance among all players and their families.
  3. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved in writing by the PSA Board.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER PARTICIPATION

At Piedmont Soccer Academy, our primary mission is to develop well-rounded, highly skilled athletes through a comprehensive and competitive training program. All of our coaches are certified by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF - U.S. Soccer), ensuring the highest standards of player development and care.

We fully support the Barrow County School System’s initiative to grow soccer at the middle school level and believe it provides a valuable opportunity for players to experience the sport in a school setting. The level of coaching and development within the middle school program has not yet been verified as meeting the standards set forth by U.S. Soccer and Piedmont Soccer Academy.

With our coach certification and commitment to excellence, we encourage our players to prioritize Piedmont Soccer Academy as their primary competitive extracurricular activity. As a high-commitment program, conflicts with other teams or activities are not the responsibility of Piedmont Soccer Academy to manage or work around.

We understand the importance of school pride and participation, but we kindly ask that all players and families ensure that involvement in other soccer activities, such as middle school teams, does not interfere with their dedication to Piedmont Soccer Academy's training sessions, matches, or events.

Our focus remains on our players' long-term growth and development, preparing them for higher levels of competition and success, both on and off the field. Thank you for understanding and supporting our commitment to excellence.
